Not really, just for a couple of days, or at least until my vocal chords decide to not be swollen anymore. Sadly, my voicebox was not playing an April Fool's joke on me. They really are irritated with me. I am quite disappointed in my voice. How dare it go into hiding, all the while making me sound like a 65-year-old woman who's smoked her entire life. I've never touched one of those nasty things, mainly to keep myself from sounding like this and what does my voice do? Sound like this!
My husband seems to be enjoying the quiet. That is, until he asks me a question and gets irked when he gets no response. Then he remembers and his face gets all goofy like.
My sweet, sweet little boy. He felt quite sorry for me not being able to use my voicebox and so he wrote me a heartfelt note.
Cutest thing ever that I have received from him. If you don't have children, or just can't read 6 year old's handwriting, it simply says "Sorry for the sick, I hope you're better". Don't worry, it's already in the keepsakes file. I hope my noisemaker recovers quickly. I've had to stay quiet so far a total of 4 hours and 49 minutes. That's way too long for me to not have opinions flying out of my mouth. Hurry vocal chords! Heal already! The world (household) needs you now more than ever!
Hey you, no talking!
